Understanding Announcements vs. Regular Posts

The Nutrogen platform provides two ways to communicate within the News Feed:

  • My Feed: This is the standard social feed where both admins and end-users can create posts and interact with each other. Posts made here do not send push notifications.

  • Announcements: This is a special feature for branch admins. Posts made here are sent as push notifications directly to the mobile devices of all end-users in your branch, in addition to appearing in their feed. This is the ideal way to share urgent or important information.

How to Create an Announcement

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Navigate to the News Feed: From the main dashboard, click on the News Feed tab in the left-hand navigation menu. (A screenshot at 0:09 shows the News Feed tab).

  2. Select Recent Posts: Click on the Recent Posts sub-menu item. (A screenshot at 0:11 shows the Recent Posts option).

  3. Go to the Announcements Tab: At the top of the page, you will see two tabs: "My Feed" and "Announcements." Click on the Announcements tab to view past announcements and create new ones. (A screenshot at 0:18 shows the Announcements tab).

  4. Create a New Announcement: Click the New Announcements button located in the top-right corner of the page. (A screenshot at 0:31 shows the New Announcements button).

  5. Compose and Send Your Message: A pop-up window will appear where you can write your message. After composing your announcement, post it.

  6. Notification Sent: Once you post the announcement, it will immediately be sent as a push notification to all end-users in your branch and will also appear in their in-app news feed.
