Managing and Tracking User Participation in Challenges

This article guides Nutrogen admins on how to monitor high-level engagement metrics, manage visibility settings, enroll users, and track individual participation status to provide better accountability and support.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Access the Challenges Dashboard: From the Nutrogen admin panel, navigate to the left-hand menu, click Gamification, and select Challenges. (Visual at 0:10)

  2. Review Performance Analytics: Use the Challenge Overview tab to quickly assess engagement. (Visual at 0:15) Key metrics include:

    • Active Challenges: Total number of live competitions.

    • Avg Completion: The percentage of users successfully finishing challenges.

    • Activity Heatmap: Identifies peak days and times when users are most active.

  3. Manage Challenge Settings: Click on the Challenge Management tab to see your library of System, Custom, and Branch challenges. (Visual at 0:22)

  4. Enroll Users or Adjust Visibility: Click the More button on any specific challenge card to access the following actions (Visual at 0:30):

    • Visibility Settings: Control which branches can see and join the challenge.

    • Assign to User: Manually enroll one or more users into the challenge. (Visual at 0:39)

    • View Participations: Open a summary window showing users who are currently Active, Scheduled for a future start, or have already Completed the challenge. (Visual at 0:45)

  5. Monitor Individual Participation: Navigate to the Active Participants tab for a detailed table view of all user activity. (Visual at 0:56)

  6. Filter and Analyze Data: Use the search bar and dropdown filters to narrow down the list by (Visual at 1:11):

    • Specific User Name

    • Branch

    • Specific Challenge

    • Status (Active, Completed, Failed, or Abandoned)

  7. Provide Targeted Support: Use the insights from the Participation table to identify users who have "Failed" or "Abandoned" a challenge. This data allows you to provide personalized outreach or extra accountability to help them get back on track. (Visual at 1:20)

  8. Manual Enrollment/Cancellation: Within the management tabs, you have the administrative authority to enroll users in challenges as required or cancel their participation if they are already active. (Visual at 1:41)
