Step-by-Step Guide:

  2. Select the Recipe: Choose the recipe you want to edit from either the "Custom Recipes," "Dietitian Approved Recipes," or "Online Recipes" tab. (Screenshot at 0:11 shows these three options).

  3. Open Recipe Details: Click on the recipe to view its details. This opens the "Recipe Details" window.

  4. Select "Edit Recipe": Click the "Edit Recipe" button. (Screenshot at 0:17 shows the Edit Recipe button).

  5. Recipe Ownership and Editing Permissions:

    • If you created the recipe: You can directly edit the original recipe, including name, description, ingredients, cooking steps, labels and author details. The changes will be saved to the original recipe. After making your changes, click "Save Recipe".

    • If you did not create the recipe: You cannot directly edit the original recipe. Instead, any changes you make will be saved as a copy of the recipe under the "Custom Recipes" tab. After making your changes, click "Save a Copy". (Screenshot at 2:53 shows Save a Copy option in bottom right).

  6. Edit Recipe Details: The "Edit Recipe" page is a wizard, similar to the "Create Recipe" process. (Screenshot at 1:17 shows Edit Recipe page).

    • Recipe Information (Step 1): Modify the recipe name, description, total time, serving size, and suitability for different meals. Click "Next".

    • Ingredients (Step 2): Adjust the quantities of existing ingredients, add new ingredients, or create custom ingredients. See nutrition information updated real-time. Click "Next".

    • Other Details (Step 3): Edit the cooking steps, add custom labels to enhance searchability, and adjust author information.

  7. Add Custom Labels for Enhanced Search:

    • Scroll down to the "Custom Labels" section on the “Other Details” page. (Screenshot at 2:39 shows Custom Labels Section).

    • Add Labels by Clicking "Add custom labels" on the categories shown. (Cooking Method, Season or Occasion, Budget, etc.) Screenshot at 2:55 shows this button.

    • Add Author details like photo and website. (Screenshot at 3:39 shows this page).

  8. Save Changes: If editing your own recipe, click 'save recipe" to save any changes you have made. If you are editing a recipe that is not your own, you will only be able to select "Save a Copy" (Screenshot at 2:53).

  9. If Saving a copy: Change the recipe title and Click "Save Recipe". (Screenshot at 3:00 shows Save Recipe button). You can only see "Save a Copy" option is the original version is not yours.

  10. Click "Done" button on the pop up to return to the Custom Recipes tab. (Screenshot at 3:09).

  11. Find your modified recipe: Navigate to the "Custom Recipes" tab to view your edited (copied) recipe.

Important Considerations:

  • Original recipes in "Dietitian Approved Recipes" and "Online Recipes" cannot be overwritten directly. Any changes you make will only apply to your copied version in "Custom Recipes". This ensures the integrity of professionally curated and imported recipes.

  • Adding additional labels to your custom recipes will make searching for a recipe easy in the system.
