Step-by-Step Guide:
To begin, navigate to Nutrition > Meal Plans and click the Auto-Generate Meal Plan button. On the next screen, select Detailed Mode to start the 5-step process. (Screenshot at 0:06 shows the "Detailed Mode" option).
β
Step 1: Set Meal Information
This step defines the basic structure of the meal plan.
Meal Plan Duration: Enter the total number of days the meal plan should last. (e.g., 7 days). (Screenshot at 0:27).
Meals Per Day: Select the number of meals you want the plan to include each day.
Tip: For high-calorie meal plans, it's best to select at least 3-5 meals per day. Choosing only one meal may result in the AI struggling to find a single recipe that meets all the nutritional requirements. (Screenshot at 0:29).
Step 2: Exclude Ingredients
Here, you can specify any ingredients you want the AI to avoid when building the plan.
Use the Search ingredients bar to find and select any specific food items to exclude.
Any ingredients you select will be excluded from the generated meal plan.
You can also choose to Skip for now if you don't need to exclude anything. (Screenshot at 2:04).
Step 3: Set Health & Allergies
Filter the meal plan based on common dietary needs and allergies.
Select up to three health filters or allergies from the list (e.g., Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free). (Screenshot at 2:10).
Note: The more filters you apply, the more limited the recipe selection will be. Be mindful not to over-restrict the options.
Step 4: Define Nutrition Information
Set the precise daily calorie and macronutrient targets for the meal plan.
Calories: Enter the total number of calories per day. (Screenshot at 2:43).
Macronutrients: You can set the breakdown by either grams or percentage.
Enter the target amount for Protein, Carbohydrates, and Fat. The system will confirm that your breakdown matches the total daily calorie goal. (Screenshot at 2:56).
Step 5: Add Additional Information
This final step allows for highly specific filtering to fine-tune the meal plan. You can set preferences for:
Preparation Time: (e.g., 20 mins & under)
Cooking Method: (e.g., Grilling, Slow-Cooking)
Cuisine: (e.g., Italian, Mexican)
Popularity or Trending: (e.g., Keto Recipes, Plant-Based)
Season or Occasion: (e.g., Summer, Thanksgiving)
Portion Size or Servings: (e.g., Single Serve, Family Size)
By Budget: (e.g., Budget-Friendly)
Tip: As with other filters, use these options sparingly to ensure the AI has a wide variety of recipes to choose from. (Screenshot at 3:15 shows the additional filters).
β
Generate and Save Your Meal Plan
After completing the steps, click the Generate button. The AI will begin creating your custom meal plan. (Screenshot at 3:33).
Once generated, you can review the full meal plan, which is broken down by day and meal type (e.g., Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). (Screenshot at 3:47).
If you are satisfied with the result, click Save Meal Plan to add it to your library. You can then assign it to your users. (Screenshot at 3:58).
