Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Log In: Log in to your Nutrogen platform account as a Customer Admin.

  2. Navigate to Features: On the left-hand sidebar, click on Settings and then select Features. (Visual at 0:01 shows the Features menu selected).

  3. Open Messaging Settings: Within the Features menu, click on the Messaging tab. (Visual at 0:02 shows the Messaging sub-tab).

  4. Understand Permissions Hierarchy:

    • Please note that messaging permissions are controlled at both the Client and Branch levels.

    • If the Client has disabled this feature, it will not be available for individual branches to turn on or off.

  5. Enable Messaging: If allowed by the Client, you will see a toggle for Enable user-to-user messaging. Switch this toggle to the On position (blue). (Visual at 0:18).

    • What this does: Enabling this allows users within your branch to create 1-on-1 and group messages with each other.

    • Note: Users are currently restricted to messaging others within their specific branch unless a Client admin has created a cross-branch group.

  6. Disable Messaging: If you do not want users to have private or group chat capabilities, switch the Enable user-to-user messaging toggle to the Off position (grey). (Visual at 1:21).

    • Note: When disabled, users will only be able to interact with each other via the News Feed (if that feature is active).

  7. Save Your Changes: To apply your settings, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Changes button. (Visual at 1:35 shows the Save Changes button in the bottom right corner).
